The IUA hosts the major scientific symposium during the country's celebrations of their independence events.
The University host the Great Independence Seminar organized by the subcommittee of the activities of the Higher Committee for the celebrations of the country on the 63rd Independence Day which was held under the slogan "inspiration of the Past and evaluation of African Future" on Tuesday morning 8/1/2019 at the African Conference Hall in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Sa`ad Omar, Minister in the Presidency for the Council of Ministers, and Prof. Kamal Mohamed Obaid, the University's vice chancellor, as well as Dr. Musa Taha Tay-Allah, Deputy vice chancellor academic and Cultural Affairs together with other group political leaders and experts. The symposium was addressed by Prince Ahmed Sa`ad Omar, recommending the University`s hospitality and good reception, describing the University of the Lighthouse of Africa enumerating the sacrifices of the first generation of the Sudanese people, condemning the removal of all differences that meet the interests of the nation the university is contributing in African development through its graduate.
On his react, Sheikh Ahmed Abdul Rahman Mohammed spoke on the struggle of the Sudanese people and their fighting for liberation in order to gain the independence of the country and said that we must recall the good brave of those who led this fierce battle and at the head of these leaders Ismail Azhari speaking on the meanings of this independence to the nation and explained the symposium and a number of political leaders` action in the country and national symbols that were witness On this important era of the glorious history of Sudan and the poetic in the praise of the homeland and patriotism by the poems of their society. The symposium witnessed a distinguished media presence from different fields.
