The Regional Expert Meeting on Developing Methods of Scientific Research in African Universities was kicked off this morning in the IUA.
The University hosted the Regional Expert Meeting on the Developing Methods of Scientific Research in African Universities on Thursday 27/12/2018 at the Faculty of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) as well as the Federation of Universities of the Islamic World under the patronage of Prof. Kamal Mohamed Obaid, President of the Union of Islamic Universities in Africa, together with Dr. Jamal Mahmoud Ibrahim, Minister of State, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Professor Bakri Al-Saeed, Vice-President of the Union of African Universities, Dr. Mustafa Ahmed Ali, representative of ISESCO, the Federation of Universities of the Islamic World as well as other great regional experts and academicians.
At the beginning of the event, Dr Omar Al-Adel Al-Abdullah, Deputy Director for Scientific and Cultural Affairs, represented the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, welcoming the guests of the universities and discussing the importance of the scientific research in the modern era where it plays a very important role in development of the various channels. The representative of ISESCO and the Federation of Universities of the Islamic World praised the partnership and fruitful cooperation between these bodies in order to establish the foundations of the scientific research and its importance in African universities, for the need of these communities to the scientific research.
On his react, Professor Kamal Mohamed Obaid, the University President welcomed the guests of the University from inside and outside of the Sudan; he called on the African universities to focus on scientific research to contribute in its development and accessible to improve the applied scientific research based on professional and scientific application, pointing to the success of the experience of the economics education produced in the university while addressing the forum, the Minister of State in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, expressed the interest of the country in scientific research and its coordinating through research centers as well as the universities. He pointed out that scientific research in our societies is deficient in facing the challenges facing the societies the need to put a stop to traditional research in which topics and articles are replicated and simulated to that scientific research addresses the problems that have beset the continent.
He lastly, Pointing out that it is necessary to seek through scientific research to increase production and productivity, noting that the development of scientific research in our universities must be linked to the advancement of the human capacities to improve in the development of skills and abilities in the continent, he said, the meeting will continue to introduce scientific papers at the Dayyib Zain El-abidin Hall.
