The IUA Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences celebrate its silver Jubilee.
The faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences organized a seminar on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of the faculty in honor of Prof. Kamal Mohamed Obaid, the University's vice chancellor, in the presence of Dr. Usama Merghani Rashid, VC personal assistant for Administrative Coordination and Follow-up, Dr. Ibrahim Fath Al-Rahman, the dean of the faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences as well as various deans from different faculties alongside with their students.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Ibrahim Fath Al-Rahman, the dean of the faculty, addressed the ex-deans and the founders of the faculty, who set the first building blocks for its establishment, pointing out that the faculty started according to its real vision which enumerated the objectives of the faculty and its various programs praising the graduates of the faculty who have become a clear marks in the fields of their various disciplines, expressing that the faculty`s future plans and strategies aimed at landing on the ground for further development and keep pace with scientific and technical development at various levels.
However, Professor Mohamed Ali Hussein, the founding dean of the faculty, spoke about the stages that the faculty has undergone since its creation and the development it pass through. Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Kamal Mohamed Obaid, the university's vice chancellor, confirmed that this event is a special occasion for one of the important faculties of the university and assured that the building of the faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences will be completed soon, recommending Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid on his efforts and support to the faculty.
Lastly, he opened the exhibition accompanying the effectiveness of the faculty where he mastered the sovereignty of the units and sections of the different as he praised the research projects and scientific ideas presented by the students during the exhibition.
