Joint meeting between IUA and UNHCR in Nairobi.
The first joint meeting between the University and the UNHCR in the Kenyan capital Nairobi was held on Monday 16 September 2019 at the headquarters of the organization.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Omar Taha El Hajj, Head of Admission and Registration Department, Mr. Tajeddine Niyam, Head of External Relations Office and Mr. Ammar from Admission and Registration office.
On the other hand, UNHCR Commissioner Mohamed Avi, UNHCR Commissioner in the Horn of Africa, Mrs. Margarine, Education Officer at UNHCR, and Mr. Hassan Daber, Coordinator of Education at UNHCR, opened the boxes of certificates for students studying at Kakum-Dadaheb-Arbon camp.
It is noteworthy that the meeting comes within the program of implementation of the minutes of the joint meeting between the two sides during the past months, which will be transformed into a work program that will accept the university students from the refugee camps of the United Nations.
Joint meetings between the two sides continue.
