A lecture entitled on the role of the Arabic language in educational and cultural thought in Ethiopia.

As part of the program to the academic delegations from Ethiopia who visited the university these days, the university administration organized a lecture on Wednesday 28 August 2019 at Al Tayeb Zain El Abidine Hall in the university.

A lecture entitled on the role of the Arabic language in the educational and cultural thought in the Ethiopia presented by Professor Mohamed Said, the head of the Arabic Department at Addis Ababa University, where the lecture dealt with the history of the Arabic language and its islands in Ethiopian, pointing out that most of the historical references and church books in Ethiopia were written in Arabic language.

Prof Said added that most of Ethiopian languages is so close to the Arabic language, and reveals that Eight Ethiopian universities are now studying Arabic language, this show how growing and interest is with the Arabic language with Ethiopians and their government.

 

On his react, Prof. Kamal Mohamed Obaid, the IUA vice chancellor, concluded with the University's commitment to develop its agreements with Ethiopian universities in all fields, calling on the university faculties to put more effort in development of these relations
