The President of the Arab Countries Broadcasting Union visits IUA and inspects some of its facilities.

Prof. Kamal Mohamed Obeid, the vice chancellor of the University, received the President of the Arab Countries Broadcasting Union, Abdel-Rahim Suleiman in his office on Thursday 22 August 2019.

The president was accompanied by Eng. Awad Eid, Head of the Radio Exchange Department in the Union, Eng. Hassan Shawky, Coordinator of the ArabSat satellite in Sudan, in the presence of Professor Musa Taha, Deputy vice chancellor academic and Cultural Affairs, Mr. Moatasem Fadl, Director of Radio Africa, and Prof. Badrudin Ahmed Ibrahim, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication representative.

The meeting dealt with many media issues of common interest between the university and the Union, including training issues for the staff workers in the university more especially those that are working in Mass communication Department.

The IUA vice chancellor pointed to the university's readiness to cooperate with the Union, assured the university's intention to establish a news agency.

On his react, Eng. Abderrahim Suleiman, president of the Arab Countries Broadcasting Union, affirmed the introduction of the university's TV channels within the union's package.

Lastly, the delegation visited the e-learning center and Al-Alamiya Tv channel, and held a dialogue discussion with the president of the Arab Countries Broadcasting Union.
