The IUA vice chancellor attends the graduation ceremony of the affiliated students of University of Simad Somalia, Faculty of Medicine.
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences organized a mini-celebration on the occasion of the farewell of Somali students dispatched from Simad University in Somalia on Thursday 8/8/2019 at the Najashi Hall under the honor of Prof. Kamal Mohamed Obaid IUA vice chancellor and Prof. Musa Taha Tay Allah, Deputy deputy vice chancellor academic and Cultural Affairs in the presence of Dr. Omar Al-Adel Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Mr Tajuddin Niyam head of external relation department as well as Dr Abdulqadir the representative from Somali Embassy, Khartoum.
At the beginning of the celebration, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine praised the students of Simad University for their understanding of the scientific material presented to them, indicating that they are looking forward to a bright future to work in the medical field.
The students praised the role of the university in the improvement of African societies through the mission of education, praising the university management and the developments witnessed especially in the medical and health field, hoping that such academic programs will continue. Addressing the ceremony, Prof. Kamal Mohamed Obeid thanked the VC of Simad University for sending this batch, which comes in implementation of the protocol signed between the two universities and directed some of tips for his students as part of the university's graduates.
Lastly, the IUA vice chancellor assured the university's readiness to cooperate jointly with all Somali universities in various fields, exchange of experiences between the two sides finds mention that the number of this batch (17) students and the training period lasted for five Six months.
