The Secretary-General of Philippines Association of Muslim Scholars of the visits the University.
Prof. Kamal Mohammed Obaid, the University's vice chancellor, received on Wednesday 31/7/2019 in his office Sheikh Abdul Hadi Botwan Gumander, Secretary General of the Muslim Scholars Association in Philippines, in the presence of Mr. Tajuddin Bashir Niyam, the head of External Relations Affairs.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Kamal Obaid welcomed the university guest and presented a brief about the university its students, Faculties and other various academic programs. The VC also ensures the university's readiness to cooperate with the Association of Muslim Scholars in the Philippines, hoping that this visit would be a good opportunity for further cooperation through mutual partnership.
Sheikh Abdul Hadi Ghumandar visited the university's various facilities, including the Islamic Center of Africa, the Faculty of Sharia, Law and Islamic Studies, Sheikh Al-Ansari of the Holy Quran and its Sciences where he listened to the explanation by the deans of the faculty about the specializations and programs carried out by the faculty.
The dean expresses the readiness to cooperate with the association at all cost.
At the end of his visit, Sheikh Abdul Hadi Ghumandar emphasized the success of the experience of the Al-alamiyya TV channel and the radio station of Africa, and heard a detailed discussion with Prof. Badruddin Ahmed Ibrahim, dean of the faculty who is also in charge of the stages of development witnessed by the faculty.
Sheikh toured the various studios of the university praising this unique experience adding that most of those who run the work of the association in Philippines are graduates of Sudanese universities, especially from the International University of Africa and the two sides will sign a memorandum of understanding in the next few days for strong cooperation.
