The seminar on Islamic Sciences courses for Senior Sudanese Armed Forces was embarked upon in IUA.

On Wednesday, May 1, 2019, the Seminar on Islamic Sciences courses was opened at Professor Taieb Zein Al Abedeen hall for the senior commanders of the Sudanese armed forces which organized annually by the University in collaboration with the General Directorate of Guidance and Services in the Armed Forces. The seminar was attended by General Abdullah Al-Fardhi, Inspector General of the Armed Forces of the People (one of the University's graduates in previous courses), Prof. Kamal Mohammed Obaid, the University's vice chancellor, Lieutenant General Mohammed Osman Al-Aghbash, Director of the General Directorate of Guidance and Services in the Armed Forces and many other dignitaries were among the attendees during the opening ceremony of the seminar.

In the opening session of the occasion, Professor Mohamed Ibrahim, Head of the Department of Islamic Da'wa, spoke about the objectives of the course which aims at self-preservation and consolidation of the Islamic knowledge in the Sudanese Armed Forces, followed by Dr. Adam Taha Hussein, Director of the Islamic Center.

On his react, Professor Kamal Mohammed Obaid, the university's vice chancellor, welcomed the Armed Forces' leaders, and depicting that the course comes within the framework of the university towards the Sudanese military establishment and the Sudanese society, referring to the start of the joint courses between the university and the armed forces. The defense minister at that time, praising the political experience of the armed forces in the current situation in Sudan, which is a great honor for the armed forces and the International University of Africa.

However, Lieutenant General Abdullah Al-Fardhi, Inspector-General of the Armed Forces, appreciate the role of the university locally and internationally, congratulating the university on winning the King Faisal Prize in the service of Islam. He praised the role of the university in serving and developing the Sudanese armed forces, assuring the keenness of the armed forces to cooperate with the university internally and externally.

Furthermore, Lieutenant General Mohammed Osman Al-Aghbash, the head of the General Directorate of Guidance and Services in the Armed Forces, mentioned the importance of the armed forces in continuing their training and development programs, including the senior commanders of the armed forces.

The course will continue with lectures and academic programs until the 10th of Ramadan in the university halls.
